[Jagriti55] Preparation for Session #8 > Habits of Mind
1.
In the following visual - you have to say out (real aloud) quickly the colours in which the text is written. Remember do not say out the typed words - but the colours in which they are typed. Try to do this real fast.
Do make a special note of what were you thinking
- Before you started doing above
- After few attempts
- What strategies you used to be able to master the above
2.
Think of three characteristics which you would like to see in your or any child; Characteristics that would help the child be successful / happy in his or her life.
Do spend some time thinking how important are these characteristics and how are you ensuring that these get developed in your child?
3.
Today observe your child (or anybody) on few of the following - just observe:
Creativity
Eye for detail
Confusion
Concern for time
Clarity of communication
Express to the child/person why you chose this attribute in their work by writing and giving to him/her (on blank chits / small cards)
Do give any gyan or evaluation - simply share where, when and what you saw about the attributes above.
Eg: I noticed today at lunch time how you were clearly communicating what you wanted and what you did not want to be put in your rice.
4.
Imagine your 4yr old child is refusing to share his toy with another child who has come to visit your home. Now that you have done the CREATIVITY session - you know you can do COLLECTION related to sharing.
So imagine you are talking to your child the next day and you want to share 20 different kinds of sharing your child does (eg: child shares stories, shares anger, shares disagreement, shares laughter)
Make and share (in TG) a list of 20 such things that your child normally shares!
Make and Share also a list of 20 kinds of sharing that you do. (eg: you share your gyan :)
Lets do some collection on sharing to understand sharing in many different ways.
Come to the session breaking any habit that you have - eg: how you normally do your hair, or how you sit or how you mentally prepare ... so this session starts with you consciously purposefully breaking any habit (need not be a good habit or a bad habit, just habit).
